MEETINGS ARE GOING
TO BE TWICE A YEAR
For now
10 members were present at the Englewood cafe at 11am. Before the
meeting was started Tony and Jan was presented with a plaque for thanks for
all we do as being Director and Secretary for the last 2 years and we thank
each and every one of you for thinking of us that way. Thanks so
much! Also we want to thank everyone that has been dedicated to our
chapter for the last 2 years. without you there would be no HAT and you know
who you are.
Meeting was called to order by Tony Roller. Treasurer report was
read by Jennie. Then we had nominations of officers. No one got
nominated. Tony announced that he doesn't want to see the chapter fold
and if he and Jan kept doing this that at least next year and the rest of
this year things have to change. So it was voted on that Tony still be
director and Jan secretary and Jennie treasurer. The changes will
be the following: we will only have 2 meetings and one event next year.
This is what is required by the by-laws of BTW. Tony is very busy with
school and work and Jan has 2 jobs now so there is no time to do much
else. It was voted on to do that. If we can get together more we
will next year during riding season and if you know of an event or just want
to get together to ride we all have each others phone numbers or
e-mail. Also please let us know when someone is ill or in the hospital.
We have 2 members going in for surgery this month. Jacy and
Lillian. WE wish them and speedy recovery and let us know how they
are doing please.
Our 1st meeting will be in April at this time we don't know a date (probably
on the 1st Sat in April) or where it will be. We are changing our
meeting place. I will be contacting everyone the 1st of
March for ideas as to where and when we will have our April
meeting, and we will decide through e-mail on this by voting on the
choices. So we need ideas! We will do a bear run on May 3rd and bring
the bears to the Platte City fire department for our event on that day and
also ride somewhere to eat out. That way it will be the start of riding
season and we can get our event out of the way and it won't conflict with
anything else. Also other events will be posted by then. We will
all still go to the Nebraska trike in in Wilbur in July. Everyone
seemed to like that one and also lets plan on going to the Davis rally the
following weekend after Labor DAy. 2 good events to go to. And
the National trike week will be another event to go to along with the state
fall reunion. We also voted to get more interest in members (as our
membership has been cut in 1/2) we will be allowed to bring "Friends of
trikers" to the meetings with full understandment that they cannot vote
or have say in a chapter meeting and they can come to as many meetings they
want to. They are always welcome at events and rides and always have
been welcome to ride with us. But Tony will at each meeting give them
applications to join the BTW.
Our second meeting will be our 3rd year reunion in October where and when
will be decided later. We will decide then if we need election of
officers again. Our goal for everyone until April is get bears
collected and be thinking of a place to meet. It don't have to be
around here we can ride anywhere to have our meeting. Jacy won the
50/50 and also a few trike in prizes were drawn that were donated
earlier in the year. Everyone won something. Meeting was

Tony and Jan were going to
step down from director and secretary,
but as it turned out no one wanted to be director so as not to let the
chapter fold they will still hold their office.
It was voted on that until further notice we
will doing the minimun allowed by our BTW by-laws at least for this coming
year until things get better and we have more time to devote to the
chapter. We will have 2 meetings next
year and one event.
We will hold a meeting in April

In 2008 we are plannig on
